Ann C Gorz

Ann C. GORZ, (nee Macejak) age 96. Beloved wife of the late Casimir. Loving mother of Theresa (the late Steve Wolf), Maryann (William Fudacz), and Margaret (Edward Podrazik), and fond Mother-in-law of Frances Gorz (James). Ann was preceded in death by her daughter Rose Ann Nowak, and sons Robert and James Gorz. Dearest grandmother to Keith, Mark and Jaime Gorz; James II (Brooke) Gorz, Philip (Melissa) Gorz and Peter (Nicole) Gorz, and Emily (Robert) Opiola. Great grandma of Jace Gorz, Evelyn Opiola and Carter Alexander Kowalis.

Daughter of the late Albert and Magdalene Macejak, and dearest sister of Joseph Macejak (late Gina) and Sister-in-Law Elaine (late Albert Macejak). She is preceded in death by her siblings Mary (Frank Stech), Rudolph (Mildred), Amelia (Edwin Staples) and Cecilia (Joseph Grills). Fond Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Ann was a life-long member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association (FCSLA) S181 and the Slovak Catholic Sokol. Besides raising her children and always keeping up with friends and family, she loved to read, sew and play many word games some favorites being Scrabble, Boggle & Rummikub. Family and Friends will gather on Friday June 5, 2026 at the Wolniak Funeral Home 5700 S. Pulaski Rd. Chicago, IL. 60629 for visitation from 8:00 am to time of Chapel Prayers 9:45 am. followed by procession to St. Bruno Catholic Church 4751 S. Harding, Chicago, IL. 60632 Mass 10:30 am Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Eye Institute, Breast Cancer Foundation or Henry Rehab Nursing Home in Henry Illinois are appreciated.
