Anna Tarasewicz, in her 98 ^th year, on December 6, 2022. Preceded in death by her husband, Wladyslaw Tarasewicz and many dear friends. Survived by daughter, Teresa; dear niece, Helena Diederich (late husband, Steve); Helena's son, Tom (Stacy) and their son, sweet Matthew; beloved niece, Zofia Pawlaczek and her family; various relatives and friends in all parts of the world. Anna was born in Koziary, Poland in 1924. She endured forced labor as a teen with her family in Siberia. After liberation, she joined the Polish Army under General Anders, where she trained as a nurse. She was stationed in Africa, Iraq, Iran and Palestine, helping soldiers and local people. After the war, she moved to Great Britain where she worked, got married and started a family. After a few years, they sailed across the ocean and eventually landed in Chicago, where they lived and worked. Her deep faith in the Virgin Mary sustained her through her many years of hardship. Thank you to the kind staff and administration at Generations Regency in Niles, Illinois and Unity Hospice.
