IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bryan S.
Wengren
December 30, 1973 – May 6, 2016
Bryan Wengren (42) originally from Chicago, most recently resided in Virginia, was suddenly taken from us the evening of May 6, 2016.
Bryan was a genius with countless talents including his ridiculous computer skills, love and ear for music, his artistry, mad culinary talents, and writing to name a few. Along with his wife Davina, Bryan was a founding member of SOaDA (Speak-Out Against Domestic Abuse). He was a mentor for "Hack-a-Thon" for the Deputy Secretary of Technology at the Commonwealth of Virgina, a Keynote Speaker on "Atomic Design", the Winner of "Startup Weekend Fredericksburg" as Chief Design Architect for Plants Map (Social Media for Gardeners and Horticulturists); and recipient of "Excellence in Customer Experience" from the Senior VP of Capital One. He was involved in his sons' Cub Scout Troops in Louisa and Mineral, VA. You could find him cheering on the sidelines of his sons' flag football games, and neighbors could always count on his help with yardwork and shoveling snow.
This legacy has been bestowed upon, and is already being carried out by his sons Jacob, Nicholas, (previous marriage) Ntanous, Joseph, Jonathan and Matthew, and grandson Michael. Leading this charge with family and friends by her side is his wife, Davina (Zedan).
He will truly be missed by all, but especially by his parents, Phil and Harlene Wengren, brothers, Mike and Tina Wengren (Ava and Noah), Jim and Judy Wengren (Joel, Jimmy, and Jorie), sister, Debbie and John Satala, (Olivia and Jackson), Grandfather Harlen (Dziadza) Morey, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends in both Illinois and Virginia.
Bryan was the "King of Spin" and should have been a lobbyist or lawyer, as he always loved a good debate. He was passionate in what he stood for. He always believed that he could do anything, and he succeeded at that. We can all carry him with us in keeping this passion alive.
