Obituary

Carmelo (Chano) 94, passed away peacefully just two weeks shy of his 95th birthday. A proud Army veteran, he was the beloved widower of Carmen Claribel, with whom he shared a lifetime of love.

He leaves behind two children, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren who were blessed by his unwavering devotion, wisdom, and generosity.

A man of strong faith, he attended church every Sunday and never missed a chance to bless those around him. He was happiest with his hands busy—fixing, building, and creating. Even in his later years, his spirit remained spry and full of energy. He loved his westerns, could outwork anyone half his age, and filled his home with the aroma of his delicious Puerto Rican rice and beans, pasteles, and alcapurrias.

He was a man of deep wisdom, an unmatched work ethic, and a giving heart. His legacy of love, resilience, and faith will live on in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
