Carmen "Mely" Gomez nee: De Leon age 66. Beloved Wife of Agustin C. Gomez. Loving Mother of Melinda (Angel) Contreras, Rosanna Gomez (Donaciano Ramirez), Carina Gomez (Giovanni Scrima, Jr.) & Cesar A. Gomez (Nancy Hernandez). Cherished Grandmother of Angel, Jr., Jasmine, Dulce, Nate, Jake and Cora. Dear Sister of Lucy A. Barahona, Edith De Leon, Fidel (Sara) De Leon, the late Azael (Maru) De Leon and the late Alex De Leon. Fond Sister in law, Aunt and Friend of many. Carmen spent over 36 years as a Teacher with the City Colleges of Chicago and Chicago Public Schools. She valued education deeply and worked hard to achieve significant academic success by earning two master's degrees. Carmen touched many lives over the years as a teacher, but no one touched her life like her Family, Family was everything to her.  Visitation Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
