Obituary
Cynthia was born on November 23, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, as the oldest of three children to Leo and Hassie Williams. Her siblings included one brother, Ronald Larry, and one sister, Jeanne Yvonne. Her parents and brother preceded her in death.
Education and Career: Cynthia pursued thorough education, completing her elementary and high school education within the Chicago Public Schools (CPS). She then completed the Practical Nursing Program in 1961 at the Department of Vocational Education. In May 1980, she received a certificate in Pharmacology from Malcolm X College. In 1992, she continued her education at Northwestern Memorial Hospital within the Continuing Education Department of Nursing Development. Cynthia had a vibrant career as a Licensed Practical Nurse from 1962 until her retirement in 2000 at age 65 from Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Marriages and Family: Cynthia married Donald C. Johnson on February 19, 1950, and from this union, they were blessed with three children: Belinda Diane Johnson, Donald Levi Johnson, and David Emil Johnson.  Both Donald C. Johnson and Donald L. Johnson preceded her in death.
She later married Roy Lowrance on July 29, 1961, and from this union, she leaves behind one son, Derrick LaMarr Lowrance. Roy Lowrance preceded her in death in 2007.
Religious Life: In 1958, Cynthia was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ at the Apostolic Faith Church in Chicago, IL, and received the Holy Ghost from Pastor Samuel L. Barnes of Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Church. She held various positions within the church, including Sunday school teacher, usher, assistant secretary, and choir member.
Legacy: Cynthia leaves a legacy of love, dedication, and faith, remembered by her surviving family and friends.
She is survived and loved by her three children, Belinda Diane Collins, David Emil Johnson, Derrick LaMarr Lowrance Sr., her daughters-in-law, Debra Johnson and Patricia Ann, her sister Jeanne Yvonne Schusse, and the love of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.

Family and Friends will Gather Saturday, May 25, 2024 for a Visitation from 9:00 am until 10:00 am with a service from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm at Christ Apostolic Faith Church 14 S. Ashland Ave. Chicago, IL. 60607. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery11500 S. Fairfield Ave. Chicago, IL. 60655
