Don Severiano "Seve" Gutiérrez, falleció pacíficamente el 7 de octubre de 2024. Tenía 80 años. Nació el 21 de febrero de 1944 en Coahuila, Tamaulipas. Se mudó a Texas a la edad de 15 años y encontró su camino a Illinois en la década de 1970. Había estado viviendo en Chicago, Illinois durante los últimos 50 años, donde encontró a su esposa.

Fue el amado esposo de Bertha Quebrado, padre amoroso de José González, Manuel González, Diego Quebrado, María Alba y Luis González, maravilloso suegro de Adriana Soto, Lysandra Moreno, Daisy Chavez, Alex Alba y Laura Soto, abuelo protector de 13 nietos; y un amigo cariñoso para innumerables personas más.

Don Severiano trabajó como jardinero en el Beverly Country Club durante más de 30 años manteniendo el paisaje en perfectas condiciones. Durante su tiempo en el club de campo, su personalidad amistosa lo ayudó a conseguir más trabajo en el vecindario de Beverly con los miembros del club. Iba a "las casitas" a hacer el paisajismo y traía a sus hijos con él. Sus hijos siempre guardarán esos recuerdos en las casitas cerca de sus corazones. Allí les enseñó que el trabajo duro tiene su recompensa.

Cuando se jubiló, dedicaba su tiempo a cuidar a todos sus nietos. Pasaba el tiempo con ellos al aire libre, dándoles consejos y trucos de su oficio. Don Seve pasaba las mañanas con su esposa tomando café y luego pasaba el tiempo al aire libre plantando flores, verduras y frutas.

Se le recordará por su sentido del humor, amor por la naturaleza, sonrisa y risa contagiosas. Todos los que lo conocieron lo extrañarán profundamente, pero su recuerdo vivirá a través de su esposa, hijos y nietos. Descanse en el paraíso con amor infinito.

Velación sera el Jueves, 10 de Octubre de 2024 de 3-8 pm. en la Funeraria Wolniak, 5700 S. Pulaski Rd. Oraciones Finales seran el Viernes, 11 de Octubre a las 9:00 a.m. Su Misa de Resurrección sera en la Parroquia de San Juan Bautista, 4555 S. Kedzie a las 10:00 am. El entierro en el Cementerio San Casimir.

Don Severiano "Seve" Gutierrez, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2024. He was 80 years old. Born on February 21, 1944, in Coahuila, Tamaulipas. He moved to Texas by the age of 15 and found his way to Illinois in the 1970s. He had been living in Chicago, Il for the past 50 years where he found his wife.

He was the cherished husband of Bertha Quebrado, loving father of Jose Gonzalez, Manuel Gonzalez, Diego Quebrado, Maria Alba and Luis Gonzalez, protective grandfather to 13 grandkids, wonderful father-in-law to Adriana Soto, Lysandra Moreno, Daisy Chavez, Alex Alba and Laura Soto; and a loving friend to countless others.

Don Severiano worked as a groundskeeper at the Beverly Country Club for over 30 years keeping the landscape in pristine condition. During his time at the country club his friendly persona helped him get more work in the Beverly neighborhood with club members. He would go to "la casitas" to do their landscaping and would bring his sons with him. His sons will always hold those memories at the casitas close to their hearts. That is where he taught them that hard work pays off.

When he retired, he would spend his time taking care of all of his grandkids. He would spend their time together outside, giving them tips and tricks of his trade. Don Seve would spend his mornings with his wife drinking coffee and then would spend time outside planting flowers, vegetables and fruit.

He will be remembered for this sense of humor, love of nature, contagious smile and laugh. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on through his wife, children and grandchildren.  Rest in Paradise with endless love.

Mass: 10:00 a.m. at Parroquia San Juan Bautista, 4555 S. Kedzie, Chicago, IL
