Our beloved, Esmeralda Vazquez (Esmy), passed away on December 21, 2022 at the young age of 44. Esmy was born on September 22, 1978 to Miroslava (Mandujano) and Daniel Vazquez in Chicago Illinois. Esmy was preceded in death by her father Daniel Vazquez Sr. and best feline companion Demitri. She is survived by her mother Miroslava Vazquez, her sisters Rocio Vazquez and Briselda Vazquez (Joshua), her brothers Daniel Vazquez Jr. (Iris) and Eddie Vazquez (Viviana); as well as her nieces, Victoria (25) and Elora (7) and nephew, Gabriel (15). For the last 6 years Esmy found happiness in Houma, Louisiana with her partner, Alida Gamberella. Together they started a small business, enjoyed fishing, shared a love of plants, and cherished a feline companion Blooregard (Bloo). Esmy was known for her wonderful sarcasm and wittiness, along with funny comebacks. Esmy was also known for her giving and loving nature, which was evident in her decision to be an organ donor. Because of this, many have received the gift of life. A Memorial Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Friday, January 6, 2023 at the Wolniak funeral Home 5700 S. Pulaski Rd. Chicago, IL. 60629. Interment Private.
