Gail Susan Putyra, of Arlington Heights, IL, formerly of Chicago, passed away February 28, 2025 at the age of 67 years old, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Chicago on September 27, 1957. Gail was predeceased by her father Walter Putyra, and she is survived by her mother Loretta (nee Ruchala) Putyra, brothers Gary (Maryann), Gregory, and Robert (Sylwia), her nephews Daniel, Mathew, and Nicholas (Sara), and grand-nieces Alivia and Emilia.
She graduated from John F Kennedy High School in Chicago, and later from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
For years she worked as a Dialysis Technician, until 2013, when she started her long-term disability.
Before she became disabled, Gail enjoyed spending time with her Mom in Florida & taking cruises to different parts of the world. She was an enthusiastic fan of the Olympic Games, and she was able to attend the Los Angeles 1984, as well as Atlanta 1996 Games.
Gail spent the last 3 years of her life in Memory Care facility at Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights.
Her brother Robert with wife Sylwia extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Lutheran Home for their loving care of Gail.

Family and Friends will gather Friday March 7, 2025, directly at St. Daniel the Prophet Church 6612 W. 54th Street Chicago.
Memorial Visitation 10:00 a.m. until time of the Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m.
Inurnment: Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org will be greatly appreciated.
