Dad was born on September 16, 1927 in Detroit Michigan. He spent his childhood there until he was 7 years old. When the Great Depression hit in 1935 his parents made the decision to take the family back to Mexico. Living a lower class life he chose to work to help his family by selling newspapers with his siblings. Throughout his life he worked in a variety of jobs such as, a shoemaker, a baker and he later became a great handyman. In Mexico 1955, he met his lovely wife Maria. In 1962 they married and celebrated a strong marriage of 58 years and had 4 wonderful children. Gonzalo was a great husband to Maria and wonderful father to his children, Elisa, Maria, Gonzalo and Alberto. He was a loving grandfather to 7 grandchildren and great grandchildren as he was a wonderful son and brother. Throughout his life you would always find him with a smile on his face and he would make your day with a joke. There is so much to say about Gonzalo, we could go on and on. Although he may be gone, he will never be forgotten. You will be truly missed.
