We are deeply saddened to announce that on September 8, 2022, we had to say our final goodbye to Guadalupe Vazquez Ortiz originally from Saltillo, Coahuila Mexico at the age of 95. Guadalupe married at the age of 16. She had her first child at 17. She proceeded to have a total of 12 children. During her life in Saltillo, she was able to pursue nursing for a period of time. It was in her nature to exemplify being a very loving, compassionate, generous, and inquisitive woman. She was also extremely courageous to immigrate to Chicago having lost 2 children and have 9 children ranging from ages 5 to 22 and be pregnant with her 12 ^th child. She epitomized the role of being a mother.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Lt Co Margarito Ortiz and Fabiana Herrera. Husband Santos Vazquez Bustos, Daughters Maria Guadalupe (Lupita 2 ^nd child), Maria del Rosario (Chayo) Quiroz and Maria Luisa (Licha) Rodriguez, Son Jose (4th Child), Grandchildren Juvencio (J.C.) Rodriguez, Jesus I. (Jesse) Vazquez, Maria Isabel (Mary) Vazquez, Greatgrandchild Anthony Vazquez, Siblings Fortunata Ruiz, Margarita Molina, Victoria, Daniel, Bruno and Epifanio Ortiz.

She is survived by her children Carlos, Jesus (Chuy), Jose (Tito), Miguel (Angel), Maria Christina (Tina), Mauro, David, Maria Guadalupe (Lupe), numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
