Gumaro's family includes his wife, Piedad Moreno- son, Gumaro Moreno Jr.- daughter, Esmeralda (fiance,Dagoberto Soto) Moreno- deceased daughter, Christina Moreno- and daughter, Julissa Moreno-Elizando. He also has a brother, Valdemar Moreno Rodriguez and a sister, Guadalupe Moreno. A brother-in-law, Noe (Linda) Garfias survives Gumaro as well.
Grandchildren include Victoria Moreno-Canuto, Mia Cristina Canchola, Damien Zolio Soto, Anna Karen Riojas-Moreno and Linda Carolina Riojas-Moreno.
Gumaro is further blessed with niece, Nohemi (Joe) Alcala and their children, Gabriel and Nicolas Alcala- niece, Jacky (Cesar) Hernandez and their children, Cesar Jr. and Desaree Hernandez- and niece Linda Garfias and her children, Anna, Vincent and Dalia Pena.
