Harlen "Bud" Morey, son of the late Joseph and the late Emily Morey, at the age of 93, from Chicago, IL, passed away on May 13, 2016. "Bud" is the beloved husband of the late Stephanie Morey for 64 years.

He spent his younger years in the factory industry where he met the love of his love.  As a young father, he worked for Ward Baking Co.  "Bud" was a former proprietor of Chateau Liquors for many years.  He was committed to his family, his Church, his community and his business.  He was Father to Maryann (the late Fred) Dusza nee Grabinowski, Harlene (Philip) Wengren nee Morey, Lawrence (Jackie) Morey and Kathy (Tom) Lazarz nee Morey.

Brother to the late Ruth (late Mickey) Bonthron nee Morey, the late Marvin (Jeanine) Morey, Marlene (William) Buhle nee Morey, and Donald (Diane) Morey.

He was Grandfather "Dziadz" to Jeffery (Kathie) Dusza, Sharon (Dale) Ushman nee Dusza, John (Cindy) Dusza, Michael (Tina) Wengren, the late Bryan Wengren, Debbie (John) Satala nee Wengren, Jim (Judy) Wengren, Daniel (Molly) Morey, Kristyn (Michael) Moore nee Morey, Stephne Lazarz, Cera Lazarz, and Tony Lazarz, and Great-Grandfather to 20, Great-Great-Grandfather to 2.

Brother-in-law to the late Helen (late Henry) Grabinowski, the late Josephine (late Chester) Cachor and the late Henry (late Carole) Lelko.

He was uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many many.

"Bud" was a proud WWII veteran and an active member of both the American Legion and VFW.  He was an Usher for St. Bruno Church, a member of St Vincent DePaul Society, a Eucharistic Minister and Minister of Care.  He was a member of both St. Bruno and St. Richard senior social groups.  "Bud" will be remembered by many for his love of God, Family and life.  His smile will never be forgotten.

Visitation to be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 3pm to 9pm at ZARZYCKI MANOR CHAPELS LTD., 8999 S. Archer Ave, Willow Springs.  Lying in state will take place on Saturday May 21, 2016 at St. Bruno Church (4800 S Harding Ave, Chicago, IL) 11:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon.  Future inurnment will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood IL.  For Funeral info call 708-839-8999 or ZarzyckiManorChapels.com.
