I. George Kosinski, 77- beloved husband of 50 years to Joan nee Kurek- cherished father of Maria Kosinski (Fiance Martin Weilhing)- beloved son of the late Helen and the late Ignatius Kosinski- dear brother of Sophie (Matt) Ucho, Anthony (Jean) Kosinski, late Chester (late Helen) Kosinski and the late Dennis Kosinski- beloved brother-in-law of Wanda Kurek, late Walter (late Josephine) Kurek, late Ted Kurek, and the late Estelle Kurek- loved uncle of Joan (Wayne) Slugocki, Walter (Karen) Kurek, Mary Kompare, Ellen (Michael) Allison, Francis Ucho, Anthony (Sherri) Ucho, Joseph (Nora) Ucho, and the late Robert Kosinski- great-uncle of Dr. Kathleen Slugocki, Julie Kurek, Laura Kurek, Michael (Diana) Kompare, Dawn Ucho, Christopher Ucho, Molly Allison, Joseph Ucho Jr., and the late baby Joan Slugocki.
bMr Kosinski was a Korean War Veteran in the United States Army. He was a graduate of Weber High School, University of Illinois and the University of Chicago. Mr Kosinski was president of By-Lo Mfg, Inc. He was a member of the Chicago P.N.A.,P.R.C.U., charter member and past president of the Polish American Engineers Association and the American Legios James J. Zientek Post #419. He and his wife were recipients of the Polish Spirit Award at the Polish Museum of America in 1990. They also recieved the Advocates Society Award of Merit in 2003. He was awarded the Achievements in Engineering Award from the Polish American Engineers of America in 2003. He loved to sind and was a member of the St. John of God, St. Turibius and St. Rene Goupil Church choirs. Mr. Kosinski died Dec. 6, 2007 in Chicago. Mr. Kosinski was walking across the street at 4300 S. Ashland when he was struck by a truck.
