In loving memory of Javier Contreras Sr.

Of Chicago Illinois, passed away on Monday September 23, 2019.  He was born March 29th, 1971 in San Jerónimo, Michoacan to the late Ascensión Contreras Goche and Maria Beatrice Pompoza Salcedo Pena.

Father of Suzanna, Javier jr., Angelica, Aaron, Mark, Nathan, Natalie and Max. Grandfather of Jose.  Met Stacey Chavez, the mother of his children, on Aug. 21, 1990 in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.

Brother of Adan, Noe, Elvia, Emma, Saul, Ascension and Raul.

Javier Contreras worked as a Mechanic Operator for a postal service company for many years. He was a construction worker for the past 6 years. He loved spending quality time with his children by going to their soccer games and practices. Took his younger children to the park for extra circular activities as well as enjoyed fishing with his children and went to the beach numerous times.

Javier Contreras was loved by his grandson whom he loved to watch and take care of all the time so his daughter could go to work. His nickname for his grandfather was "Apa".

We were truly blessed to have our father in all our lives. His memory will be cherished forever.
