Jose Mundo age 90, Loving longtime Companion of the late Dorothy Proczek, former Companion of Waldina Moreno. Loving father of Eddie (Lynn Wilcox), Maria and John, stepfather of Diane (Thomas) Janda, Darlene (late Carlos) Martinez, John, Annie (Jose) Saucedo and late Roy, late Frank and late Patrick. Cherished grandfather of Christina, Katie and Angelica, step grandfather of Donald, Danielle, Laurie, Susie, Cassandra, Elizabeth, Patrick Jr., Peter, Melissa and Carlos Jr. Great grandfather of 19. Devoted son of the late Jesus (late Maria) Mundo. Dear brother of Ana Guadalupe "Lupe", late Maria de los Angeles "Gela" and late Rodolfo. Fond uncle of many. Dear friend of his Caregiver Karen Carrano. Jose was a member of Berwyn Moose Chapter 424, Cicero Berwyn Elks Lodge, Berwyn Eagles and volunteer at Hines VA Hospital, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, scuba diving, cooking, sewing and bowling along with many other activities. Along his life's travels Jose put out Forest Fires in California, worked in Coal Mines in Altoona, PA. and so much more. His greatest joys were his family, being around other people and helping others. Funeral Monday, February 14, 2022, Chapel Service 10:00 a.m. at Wolniak Funeral Home 5700 S. Pulaski Rd. Chicago, IL. 60629 Interment Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Justice, IL.
