Maria Dolores "Lolis" Magdaleno (Castellanos), age 70, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois, surrounded by her family she cherished so deeply. Born on April 1, 1955, in La Estancia, Jalisco, Mexico, Lolis was the beloved daughter of the late Sebastian Castellanos and Aurelia Ortega. In her 70 years of life, she became a pillar of strength, kindness, and unwavering faith for everyone who knew her. Lolis dedicated her life to the service of others. Whether through her work or her personal life, her primary mission was to ensure that every person she encountered felt loved, seen, and heard. Her deep faith was her North Star, guiding her steps with grace until the very end. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra. She is survived by her devoted husband, Raul Magdaleno (De Anda); her proud children, Raul Paul and Bruce; and her seven grandchildren: Evelyn, Alessandra, Sandra, Giovanni, Sebastian, Alicia, and Emilia who were the absolute joy of her life. Her legacy of compassion and her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the many lives she touched.
