Maximo E. Roman

Maximo E. Roman 75, of Chicago, IL, born in Iguala Guerrero MX, passed away on Friday, February 13th, 2026. He retired from Chicago Public Schools as a security guard at Kelly High School and McCormick Elementary School. He is survived by his children Elisa Román Peña (José), Christine Valencia (Oscar), Verónica Román Saldaña; grandchildren Isabelle Roman, Alejandra and Maricela Griffin, Kaiya & Nicolas Valencia, Abram and Catalina Saldaña, companion Karen Nelson and former spouse Rosa Roman. He is also survived by his brothers Victor, Procorro, Pedro and Roberto Roman. He was preceded in death by his parents Margarita Hernandez, Santiago Roman, and siblings Leonardo, Tomas, Natividad, & Luciano Roman. Visitation, Thursday February 19, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Wolniak Funeral Home 5700 S Pulaski Rd in Chicago, Illinois. Chapel Service 6:30 p.m. Interment Private.
