Obituary

Richard Montalvo, born on June 19, 1941, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Francyne Montalvo (née Skrabacz). He was dad to Deborah Bosco (Massimo), grandpa to Benjamin and Nathan, and father of Rhonda.

Richard was a caring brother to Carmen, Consuelo, Ofelia, Bertha, Raul, and Robert, all of whom preceded him in death. He was also brother-in-law to Dolores Drower (Ira). Though younger, Richard took great pride in caring for his older siblings and remained deeply committed to family throughout his life. He was also a beloved uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Richard proudly served in the United States Army. He built a long career in sales, where his ability to connect with people served him well, and later served as director of the Mexican American History Museum. He was known for his dependability and strong sense of responsibility to those he loved.
