Violet was the Past President of the State of Illinois Marine Corps Womens' Auxiliary. She was a member of the Womens' Auxiliary Burbank, IL. Detachment. Violet was also past president for 10 years of the Mokena Senior Citizens. Violet was active at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mokena, IL. She participated in quilting, the Ruth Society. She also enjoyed crocheting, crafts, sewing, baking (especially at Christmas), and gardening.
