Dr. Vivian A. Walkosz, Ed.D., long-time resident of the "Back of the Yards" neighborhood of Chicago. Passed away, peacefully, in her home this Fourth of July weekend.

Devoted daughter of the late Joseph Walkosz and the Late Catherine nee Buinda. Loving sister of the late Alice (Late Honorable Vincent) Tondryk and the Late Richard (Dorothy) Walkosz. Beloved Aunt of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Loving niece of the Late Helen Buinda.

Vivian was a long-time member of the Polish Arts Club of Chicago, serving in many roles, including President. She was a Professor in the Department of Curriculum at Northeastern Illinois University. After retiring, Vivian earned Professor Emerita. She touched the lives of many.

Visitation Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Michalik Funeral Home, 1056 West Chicago Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60642. Funeral Mass Monday, July 12, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Name Cathedral, 735 North State Street, Chicago, Illinois 60610. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, Illinois.
