Our Staff
Our staff members are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to all of us.
Tom has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer for over 30 years, as the Funeral Home Managing Director he is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Funeral Home; overseeing the administrative responsibilities, maintaining the appearance of the facility, ensuring proper staffing and making ready the resources of the funeral home for the families we are privileged to serve.
Janet serves as the Assistant Manager; she was born and raised at Wolniak Funeral Home. She remains dedicated to providing quality service to the community, especially in training new Staff to fulfill all aspects of the job with an unparalleled level of excellence each family deserves and expects to receive at Wolniak Funeral Home. Janet enjoys maintaining her connection with the community churches, shops and other establishments and preserving Wolniak Funeral Home’s excellent reputation with the families they serve.
In addition to all of Janet’s contributions to Wolniak Funeral Home, she has maintained her role as a church organist for 50 years. She and her husband enjoy many cultural events in the city, bicycling, traveling and having endless fun with their dogs. Janet and her sister Nancy (their family’s third generation funeral director) are also dedicated to the wellbeing of their handicapped sisters.
Angel has been a bilingual Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer for 13 years. He has over 20 years of dedicated service in the funeral profession. He is a graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, IL. Throughout his career, he has assisted countless families through some of life’s most difficult moments with compassion, professionalism, and respect. His work reflects a deep commitment to the values of dignity, empathy and personalized service. As an embalmer, Angel takes pride in the art and science of preservation and restoration, ensuring every decedent is treated with the utmost care. As a funeral director, he believes in creating meaningful ceremonies that honor each individual’s life, culture and story. When not serving families, Angel enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
Born in Poland, Stanley immigrated to the United States with his parents at age seven and was raised in the Back of the Yards neighborhood. After graduating from Worsham College of Mortuary Science he received his funeral director's license in 1979. Extensively involved with church and community, Stanley participates in the Holy Name Society, Finance Committee, Sports Program, Pastoral Council, Polish Dance Committee, Lector and Eucharistic Minister. With his many years of experience Stanley continues to have a genuine enthusiasm in helping each and every family.
Lynn currently serves as Support Staff, providing administrative support during the day and working visitations in the evening. She has been a source of support in people’s time of need, during the visitation, she provides an ear to listen while acknowledging their grief with compassionate care. The most important thing in Lynn’s life is her family. She has been married for over 41 years and blessed with 4 successful children. Her blessings continue with 6 beautiful grandchildren, whom she loves dearly and with whom she spends much of her free time. Lynn stated she is eternally grateful for this life and would not trade it for the world.
Maria serves as Support Staff, filling a variety of staffing needs, she takes tremendous pride in maintaining the overall appearance of the Funeral Home. She also assists as a wake duty attendant in the evenings providing compassionate care to the families we serve. Maria is fluent in Spanish. When not here at Wolniak Funeral Home, she is very active at her Parish St. Mary Star of the Sea and being a wife and devoted mother to her 2 sons.
Julian serves as Support Staff, where he is dedicated to providing compassionate care to Families during their time of need. A graduate of Saint Xavier University, where he discovered a calling to serve his community in a more spiritual way. Outside of work, he volunteers at his Alma Mater, St. Rita of Cascia High School, assisting with their monthly Novena Mass. He remains closely connected with the Augustinian Community whose values inspire his work every day. During his free time, he enjoys living a healthy lifestyle by going to the gym and eating right. He also enjoys spending time with Family and Friends.
Natalia serves as Support Staff, as a wake duty attendant, providing compassionate support to the families we serve. She is currently enrolled at Malcom X College in their Mortuary Science Program. She is looking forward to completing the program and starting a career in funeral service. When not at the funeral home or in school, Natalia is studying and enjoying time with her family and friends.
Manny serves as Support Staff; he assists with a variety of staffing needs. As a wake duty attendant, providing compassionate support to the families we serve. He assists on the morning of funerals by providing support to the funeral director and organizing the parking lot by making sure the vehicles are lined up for the procession appropriately ensuring all vehicles are stickered and ready for the procession. Manny enjoys spending time with his family and friends in his spare time.
